The goal of the initial evaluation is to use a combination of subjective information from the patient and objective findings gathered from physical assessment i.e., strength, range-of-motion, and special testing to determine dysfunctional areas. The evaluation length is dependent on the severity and complexity of the dysfunction and can last anywhere from 15-60 minutes.
